HIRE A CERTIFIED FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR
Hire a certified firearms instructor by-the-hour while shooting at the HERO center. Your lane reservation is included in the $75 per hour charge. Customers may choose to hire one of our certified firearms instructor for personal one-on-one training right at the range stall. Shooters are encouraged to bring their own firearm. Please note that by paying for this service, you will be contacted to schedule a time that works for you when you plan to come to HERO Shooting Range to shoot. This service needs to be pre-planned in advance and we ask for at least 48 hours notice prior to having the instruction time. Users should NOT reserve a shooting lane as this will be setup when coordinating with the private instructor or HERO staff member. As a reminder, the $75 fee includes the instructor fee and a lane reservation per hour.

Gjersten
Certified Firearms Instructor
Kevin has 35 years experience in law enforcement and the U.S. Army military police. Kevin can help you improve your marksmanship with handguns, long guns, enhance your ability to engage target(s) from a holstered position, practice emergency and tactical reloading, as well as how to use cover and concealment effectively. Works with new shooters and seasoned shooters to help improve skills.

Certified Firearms Instructor
Mike is an NRA Certified Basic Pistol Instructor and a shooting sports enthusiast. Mike spent 28 years with the Dept. of Corrections (CO/FTO & Fugitive Transport) and 6 years USMC Military Police. Mike enjoys working with new shooters.

Smith
Certified Firearms Instructor
Jim is a Federal Firearms License Holder (FFL) with a Class 3 Occupational Stamp. Jim is an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and has been teaching firearms courses since 2014. Jim is an avid shooter and very knowledgeable in firearms.

Certified Firearms Instructor
Laurel is a competition shooter and retired law enforcement officer. Laurel has extensive experience in firearms instruction and safety. Laurel enjoys working with new shooters and experienced shooters wishing to improve their skillsets.

Certified Firearms Instructor
Paul has over 27 years of law enforcement experience serving as a firearms instructor for several city departments and the Washington County SWAT team. Paul is an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor.
