About the event
On-the-job stressors that law enforcement personnel face can have a significant impact on physical, mental, and emotional well-being, which can accumulate over the course of a career. Not actively managing the effects of stress can negatively result in a poor quality of life, both on- and off-duty. Many law enforcement personnel struggle with substance abuse, depression and anxiety, posttraumatic stress, insomnia, suicidal thoughts, burnout, divorce, chronic pain, and other challenges. This course teaches participants to recognize and help mitigate the negative and accumulating effects of individual, team, and agency stress.
