The paramilitary command structure often found in law enforcement can discourage individuals and teams from performing at their highest level. Ethical and thought-provoking leaders, who engage teams and inspire others, can make a difference between an organization that meets minimum standards and one that provides outstanding public service. This course studies ways in which law enforcement managers can be more effective at directing, motivating, mentoring, and empowering their team members.
